About us

Although there are hundreds of dance studios, dance experiences are made by people, and each of us has a different vision of what is important when teaching this beautiful technique.

I want to tell you then that for me, dance is not only about aesthetics, but about sensitive exploration and bodily relearning.

I know these two concepts may sound difficult to understand, but I promise you that once you start moving, it will all make sense.

That is why I want to invite you to experience it just as I have done for more than 25 years.

Because we all can and deserve to dance!

FOUNDRESS

Camila Araya

My name isCamila Araya, founder ofBerlin Dance, originally from the city of Santiago, Chile. My formal studies in dance originate at the Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano, Chile. Qualifying as a pedagogue and performer in Dance, and then completing a Diploma as a Contemporary Dancer at the Berlin Dance Institute, Germany.

Since I was a child, dance has been the driving force of my life. I was always a very restless girl, and at the same time very awake, questioning and sensitive Why am I telling you this?

Well, because it wasn't until I found dance that my personality found its place. This doesn't mean you have to be like me to enjoy dance. If not, quite the opposite, that is the wonder of this discipline. That all of us with our differences can find our place and accept ourselves as we are. Art is the ideal space to know ourselves better.

Matias Letelier

Contemporary dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher from Chile. He completed his professional training at the Instituto Profesional Escuela Moderna de Música y Danza, specializing in choreography.

Throughout his career, Matías has developed a strong focus on floorwork, acrobatic techniques and improvisation, creating his own teaching methodology. His approach is designed for both beginners and intermediate-advanced levels, which he shares through his Prácticas de Flujo Consciente (Conscious Flow Practices).

He began teaching in the Coquimbo Region of Chile, where he also worked as a performer and dancer in the company Cuarta Danza. As an interpreter, he has explored various artistic developments, combining different studies related to the performing arts. His work emphasizes the connection between technique, creative expression, physical strength, and agility.

Currently based in Berlin, Matías continues to refine his practice, offering classes that integrate versatility, awareness, and dynamic movement.
